Ms. Shweta Chauhan is Environment & Social Impact Head in Vital Capital Environment. She brings with her a decade of international experience in environmental and climate change consulting as well as implementing clean energy and watershed projects at rural level. Prior to joining VCE, she spent 2 years in PwC, leading international assignments on environment and social assessments, green financing, and climate change risk assessments of infrastructure projects. Before that she has worked as program manager with Gramin Vikas Trust and MicroEnergy Credits where she was responsible for managing projects on access to clean energy and building climate resilience capabilities at community level.

At VCE, she leads Impact & ESG practice. She is responsible for aligning business opportunities with VCE’s Impact Vision and regional SDG thrust areas. She also assists management in identifying niche areas of impact and forge partnerships with organisation which can amplify VCE’s impact in the region. She also brings ESG capabilities into projects by managing environmental & social impact analysis at the time of screening potential opportunities, due diligence evaluations and internal ESG audits of the projects to monitor ESG and impact performance of the projects.

Ms. Shweta holds a B.E in Environmental Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering and an M.Sc. in Environmental Policy & Regulation from London School of Economics.
